Benjamin Franklin coined the phrase, “A penny saved is a penny earned…” Interestingly enough, he also designed the first one cent coin in 1787. These enormous, but lightweight, plastic penny earrings featuring the handsome Abraham Lincoln can be worn on President’s Day, on a date with a banker, or to lunch with a friend who you are dying to offer your two cents to. These massive earrings are two inches across in diameter and are approximately 3 mm in thickness. They are finished with glass beads and silver (nickel-free) ear wires. The total length of the earrings is approximately 3 and 1/4 inches.
