This unique necklace features an antique glass crystal cabochon with a carved intaglio of a gold poodle on a jet black background. This domed vintage cabochon was made in Czechoslavakia and measures approximately 22 by 27 mm. The dog reminds me of the regal Staffordshire dogs that you would see in 19th century pottery. I surrounded the cabochon with small rhinestones and secured it to a luxurious soft backing with tiny pearlescent seed beads. The connecting chain consists of small pearly beads, black facted Czech rondelle beads, rhinestone discs, and matte gold bicone bead stations. the necklace is finished with a gold toned (brass based) lobster style clasp. The necklace looks best at a shorter length of 16 inches, but I can extend the necklace based on your request. The pendant itself is approximately 1 and 1/2 inches by 1 and 1/4 inches. Note: The gold flecking inside of the pendant is a little slivered due to age, but it is sealed to prevent further wear.
