This isa pressing of Ma Hei Villageraw pu-erh tea. It’s spring 2018 picked tea pressed in early March of 2019. Ma Hei Village is an Yi Wu mountain area tea village that is often considered to be the classic Yi Wu style of large leaf pure assamica pu-erh tea for which Yi Wu is so well-known. Good tea from Ma Hei Village that is in the affordable range is very elusive. so Xiaguan has really hit the mark with this lovely production! The tea was aged for 11 years in Guangdong dry storage condition and has developed a mature subtle taste and abundant cha qi. It’s got slight bitterness up front and then smooth minty sweetness with camphor aroma. The tea soup is super clear burgundy beauty.
